"M.D." sometimes stands for "massively dumb"

Man. I can't wait till Savannah gets older. I know that sounds mean, but when it is 11pm and she just won't stop crying, that's what I think. We think it might have something to do with one of her medicines so we might stop it on a trial basis. She is awake because (my own personal theory) she refluxes alot, but if we give her the maalox she will throw her last meal up. So, do we risk her throwing up, or just let her reflux? It is those kinds of catch-22's that make us curse the doctor's wonderfully vague answers. I swear their answer to 99% of what we tell them is "she'll grow out of it". Argh.

Haven't really had time to post more pictures, but by this weekend there will be more up.

Throaty issues

OK; our results from the doctor's appt in OKC are as follows:
Her left vocal chord is paralyzed, for how long we're not sure. The doc said that if it was from "ideopathic" reasons (what does that mean? I have no clue.) then she would just grow out of it. But since she had PDA surgery, it could be the result of them cutting around the ductus artery, which the nerve for the left vocal chord is wrapped around. They said that if this was the case that she had a 50/50 shot of out growing it, or just being hoarse for the rest of her life. And of course this gives her more complicated breathing problems, b/c at rest a vocal chord will reduce the amount of flow that is allowed through the throat. In adults this could be rectified through surgery, but for kids they don't want to risk it. That is what we know. SO; that sucks. But we are praying and believing that she will grow out of it, and will have a perfectly normal voice. If you are reading this, please say a prayer!

thanks

Zack

This is tiring stuff, this baby business.

See?

I'm being calm on mommy's shoulder while she eats.

Dad's making funny faces at me.

Hello mom.

Somebody hold me.

Why am I in this chair? I have a bad feeling about this.

But mommy where are you going?

A happy baby in the doctor's office.

Me and the smiling baby

Upside-down baby. She was getting changed on her way to see the doctor in Oklahoma city.

The sling. She really didn't like it when I put her in that. 10 seconds after I took this picture she was wailing.

Angel watching TV with the Bambino.

Sacked out on Dad's shoulder

Sticking her tongue out.
