Savannah Updates
She laughs, smiles and talks a LOT! We don't ever get to sit through church because she is much too vocal.
She eats 8 oz. at every feeding now and the doctor says we can start her on solid foods whenever we want. She doesn't throw up as much either anymore. Hopefully she is growing out of that. She weighs a whopping 15lb. 4oz at last weigh in. It is getting hard for me to carry her in one arm and do chores around the house with the other. She is too heavy. It feels good to say that.
She now wears her 3 to 6 month clothes. She still hasn't rolled over, probably because she doesn't like it on her stomach very much. She can roll from her back to her side, but no complete rolls yet. When you put her in her excersaucer now she can stand straight up with no support and seems to really enjoy looking at all the interesting toys. She has very strong legs. She enjoys standing a lot(of course we are holding her)
Savannah thinks her dad is the most funny guy. She will laugh and talk with him the most. She has been a very social baby since the doctor gave us the okay to go out. She seems to really enjoy seeing all the new sights and is generally very happy wherever we take her. She loves it when people talk to her. It is almost a guarantee of a smile. If no one is talking to her she gets antsy and starts to fuss, but the minute you give her attention she is back to smiling. (I'm not sure this is a good thing) I need to teach her to entertain herself.
The oxygen is not gone yet, but we are up to 6 hours a day and hopefully 8 by this weekend. She has been doing well without it and we are praying she will keep it up.
I'm sure there are many other things I could talk about but right now I am drawing a blank. The overall picture is that Savannah is doing great and if you took away the oxygen you would never know that she had been a preemie, she is social, talks, laughs, interacts with people, sleeps through the night, is a happy baby and is reaching all her milestones as she should. God has truly blessed us.
